Spotlight on Nordic Indigenous Cinema @ New Nordic Films
In collaboration with the Norwegian International Film Festival, we invite you to Spotlight on Nordic Indigenous Cinema at New Nordic Films in Haugesund, August 20th.
In this seminar, you will get to know more about the work of leading Sámi filmmakers and learn more about our work at the International Sámi Film Institute.
This seminar features Anne Lajla Utsi, ISFI’s Managing Director, director and screenwriter Ann Holmgren Aurebekk, producer and activist Kati Eriksen, and director and producer Marja Bål Nango. The discussion will be moderated by international film journalist Wendy Mitchell.

Árru in the Work in Progress (WIP)
In addition to the seminar, the feature film Árru, by Elle Sofe Sara, will be presented in the New Nordic Films Work in progress program, Thursday 21. August. WIP showcases the best Nordic feature films currently in post-production. Selected scenes from each film and a 10-minute presentation by the producer will give the viewers an exclusive and unique preview of the upcoming movies. The audience at Works in Progress consists of Nordic and International buyers, festival programmers, film financiers, sales agents, and co-producers. Read more here.

New Nordic Films is an annual Film Market and Nordic Co-Production Market that showcases a unique selection of 50+ forthcoming Nordic feature-length films.
