FILM EXČELERATOR SÁPMI

We are now seeking a skilled and dedicated Project Manager who will have overall responsibility for planning, implementation and further development of FILM EXČELERATOR SÁPMI. The project position is available for immediate start and runs until the end of 2026. Application deadline: 1 February 2026

The Sámi film and TV industry is experiencing strong growth and increasing international interest. To ensure a sustainable, innovative and future-oriented Sámi film industry, the International Sámi Film Institute (ISFI) collaborates with Talent Norway and Samfunnsløftet/SpareBank 1 Nord-Norge on the development and talent programme FILM EXČELERATOR SÁPMI.


About the programme

FILM EXČELERATOR SÁPMI is a tailored programme for 15 participants who wish to develop professionally and work within the Sámi film industry. The programme aims to recruit, strengthen competence, provide practical work experience and inspire future Sámi film professionals in all roles and stages of film production.

The programme includes:

• Mentorship with experienced professionals and production companies
• International networking opportunities
• Paid traineeships
• Full coverage of travel, accommodation and meals related to programme activities


Responsibilities as the Project Manager

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
• Overall project management of FILM EXČELERATOR SÁPMI
• Planning, coordinating and delivering programme activities
• Follow-up of participants, mentors and partners
• Budget responsibility, reporting and documentation
• Collaboration with national and international stakeholders
• Further development of the programme in line with industry needs and strategic goals


Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with:
• Relevant higher education and/or solid experience in project management
• Experience from the film, TV or cultural sector (an advantage, but not a requirement)
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Ability to work independently, structured and goal-oriented
• Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills
• Good written and oral communication skills in Norwegian and English
• Knowledge of Sámi language, culture and society is a strong advantage
