Competence grant

Competence grants may be applied for in connection with all activities that can promote the applicant’s professional film expertise.

• Sámi production company, either as executive or co-producer, whose primary objective is to engage in audiovisual production and is registered in the Sápmi, Norway or an EEA country.
• Competence grants can be awarded to limited liability companies. Other companies registered in the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities or Business Enterprisesin Norway or another EEA country can also apply if the amount is less than NOK 200,000.

In order to receive a grant from ISFI, the applicant and project must meet ISFI’s general conditions.

• Costs to cover the expertise required for productions. For example: mentors, dramaturge, and the like.
• Language work in connection with development and production. For example: translation of manuscripts, language consultants, and the like.

In connection with reporting, project accounts approved by an auditor are required if the grant is for NOK 200,000 or more. An accountant must otherwise have signed all accounts.

There are no application deadlines for competence grants, and applications can be submitted as required.
