NEW SÁMI–ITALIAN TV SERIES PREMIERES ON YLE

CIAO RÁHKIS AVAILABLE ON YLE ARENA NOW

A new Sámi- and Italian-language TV series had its premiere on YLE, Finland’s public broadcaster, on Sunday, 14 December 2025. The series consists of four episodes and is directed by Ken Are Bongo.

The series is set between Italy and Sápmi (FI) and combines drama and comedy. Following its television premiere on YLE, Finland, the series will be released as a feature-length film version on RAI in Italy in January 2026, and will also be aired on the Icelandic Broadcaster Siminn.

When a street-smart Neapolitan hustler inherits a remote estate in Finnish Lapland, he sees it as a quick payday, until he’s forced to stay, clashing with the Sami community, falling in love for a fierce reindeer herder, and uncovering dark secrets about his brother’s death.
