OPEN CALL: ANNA-AWARD 2025/2026

Applications are now open for Anna-priset, a film award of 50.000 SEK, established by Women in Film and Television (WIFT) Sweden and UN Women Sweden. Created in 2014, the award aims to increase awareness of CEDAW – the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.
Strengthening Sámi film production
In 2025/2026, the award places a special emphasis on strengthening Sámi film production. By highlighting and supporting Sámi perspectives, voices, and storytelling traditions, the award acknowledges the importance of Indigenous representation and the need to ensure that Sámi women and creators have equal opportunities to tell their stories.
With the award, WIFT Sweden and UN Women Sweden aim to help unleash the untold stories of today and amplify women’s voices. Anna-priset serves as a practical implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women and promotes women’s human rights and fundamental freedoms.

The annual scholarship is given to a person who presents a project of moving images that, in terms of content, form, and organization, and with strong artistic qualities, interprets and translates the principles of the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women – CEDAW.
