Anne Lajla Utsi Receives Honorary Award at Nordic Film Days Lübeck 2026

Anne Lajla Utsi, Director of the International Sámi Film Institute (ISFI), will receive the Honorary Award at 68th Nordic Film Days Lübeck for her longstanding contribution in Sámi filmmaking and as an international ambassador for Indigenous cinema.
The award will be presented during the festival’s opening ceremony on November 4, 2026, in Lübeck, Germany. The festival highlights Utsi’s important role in strengthening Sámi cinema and supporting Indigenous voices and storytelling worldwide. Actor and director Nils Gaup will deliver the laudatory speech during the ceremony.
In addition to the honorary award, the Nordic Film Days will present an Homage of films personally curated by Utsi that reflect her artistic and cultural policy vision.
