The International Sámi Film Institute (ISFI) is looking for a structured and experienced Controller / Senior Adviser, Finance and Grants to join our team in Guovdageaidnu/Kautokeino.

The position plays a key role in ISFI’s financial management and grant administration. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of finance who works accurately and independently and enjoys taking responsibility in a varied role.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Day-to-day administration and follow-up of ISFI’s grant portfolio
• Account coding, payments, processing of financial documentation, and other ongoing financial tasks
• Preparing and quality-assuring documentation for project accounts and financial reporting in collaboration with ISFI’s accountant
• Reviewing and approving working hours and preparing the monthly payroll documentation
• Communicating with grant recipients and following up, reviewing, and approving project and financial reports
• Contributing to the maintenance and development of ISFI’s internal control systems and procedures related to administration, financial management, and grant administration
• Other relevant tasks within the position’s area of responsibility, as needed and in consultation with the manager

The responsibilities of the position may develop and be adjusted over time in line with ISFI’s needs and the employee’s skills and expertise.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has relevant higher education in finance, accounting, administration, or a related field
• Has relevant experience in financial management, accounting, controlling, and/or public grant administration
• Has a strong understanding of finance and numbers and works in a structured, accurate, and independent manner
• Has strong digital skills
• Has good communication and collaboration skills
• Is confident using computers and relevant software
• Is proficient in Sámi, Norwegian and/or English, both spoken and written

Experience from public administration, grant management, or the cultural sector is an advantage. Personal suitability will also be given considerable weight.
