One horror film, one documentary, three short fiction films and one short documentary received production grants totaling 4 599 000 NOK in the second production application round of 2026.

A Skolt Sámi woman is struggling to push a boat through the forest, the terrain of Sámiland changing from brushwood into wetland along the way. A Maid of the Water curves menacingly across the surface of the lake and in the Woman’s mind as she struggles against sinking into suicidal thoughts. The bottom of the wooden boat scuttles in the sand and the empty boat continues to slide towards the back of the lake.

The production grant aims to secure the best possible quality for film projects. The grant is given to stimulate films in the Sámi languages and strengthen Sámi filmmakers and producers.
Application deadlines for production grants are February 1, May 2, September 1, and December 1.
