Submit Your Short Fiction Film Idea to the Signature Pitch 2025

Win NOK 80,000 for your short film idea!

Eight short film projects will be selected from across Sápmi and Norway to compete for a prize of NOK 80,000, sponsored by the regional film centers in Norway and the International Sámi Film Institute.

The Signature Pitch will be held during the Short Film Convention in Trondheim, January 22–23, 2025.

How to apply the Signature Pitch

Submit your application to ISFI, Silja Somby, silja@isfi.no by December 8. 2024.

The application must include:

• A project description (maximum 1 page)
• Visual material (maximum 1-page moodboard)
• The filmmaker’s CV, including relevant links to previous work
• A profile picture

Important: All application documents must be submitted in English and labeled “SIGNATURE PITCH.”

ISFI will choose one project to represent Sápmi in the Signature Pitch.

About the Signature Pitch

Each regional film center will select one project from its region to participate in the Signature Pitch. The Signature Pitch is aimed at professional directors, either working independently or in collaboration with a screenwriter or producer. Students are not eligible to apply. The project must be under development but cannot have received funding from regional film centers or the Norwegian Film Institute. The pitch will be conducted in English and must include visual material or moving images. The jury consists of festival programmers from A-list festivals. The project must result in a short fiction film with a maximum duration of 10 minutes. Each project will have 10 minutes during the pitch (7 minutes for the pitch + 3 minutes for questions). The jury places emphasis on the filmmakers’ previous work. Read more here.
