The short film Romssa Táksi received an ISFI production grant totaling 300.000 NOK in the fourth and last application round this year.

In Tromsø, the Sámi and Norwegians seem to coexist peacefully. However, when two young Sámi girls face racism from drunk Norwegians waiting for a taxi, their fates get internwined with older Sámi individuals. The incident draws them into a twisted and dark night.

The production grant aims to secure the best possible quality of the film project. The grant is given to stimulate films in the Sami language and strengthen Sami filmmakers and producers.

Application deadlines for production grants are February 1st, May 1st, September 1st and December 1st.
